Abstract

High speed strength and corrosion resistance make Aluminum Alloy very prominent in Aerospace industry apart from automobile industry. In fact Aerospace is more predominant area, hence processing of this alloy more importance in aerospace. Aluminum in its pure form suffers from poor strength and other mechanical properties. Apart from automobile components i.e. aerospace the major structure of an air craft is an Aluminum Alloy Al-65032.Today, Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding recommended welding for Aluminum alloys. Both are multi-objective and multi-factor metal fabrication techniques. The main objective of this work is to achieve the best mechanical properties. So, therefore the Taguchi approach and Design of Experiments (DOE) approaches have been chosen to carry out this work.
