Abstract

The aim of the paper is to present a brief overview of nanomaterials, their classification and applications. Nanomaterials are made of many different chemicals and compounds. Nanomaterials are defined as engineered materials with a least one dimension in the range of 1-100 nm. The first part of the article highlighted nanomaterials, their properties, and classifications of from different perspectives. The applications or the role of nanomaterials and nanotechnology in everyday life and to the development of modern technologies were highlighted. The last part of this write up highlighted the disadvantages or challenges posed by these materials to the society. Lastly, the disadvantages or implications of these materials to the technological advancements of the society were explaind.
